I know we’re all busy preparing for Christmas but let’s not forget that ultimately, it’s all about giving, sharing, and helping others – especially those who need our help.

Floods came like a thief in the night

A few days ago, a flash flood took the people of Cagayan De Oro City, Iligan, and Dumaguete in the Philippines by surprise. It came like a thief in the night while most people were sound asleep. People who escaped were only able to save the clothes on their back. Some people lost their lives and won’t be able to celebrate Christmas like you and me. 

Some of our BC Blogger friends, Grace, and Karen were from those areas and I’m very happy to report that they are alive and well. Unfortunately, like most of the people from their area they lost their belongings to the flood. I hope we can all drop them some message of comfort in their blogs.

I did my research on how we can all help. I found out that the best way we can donate is through Philippine Red Cross. You can donate as little as P5 and as effortless as getting your cellphone and typing some letters. So if you can spare a few pesos please grab your phone right away and donate. Don’t do it later lest you forget. Act now!

I am also appealing to you to make a blog post about this tragedy and encourage people to donate. Let’s not turn a blind eye because we can all help in our own little way. Other people are not aware of the gravity of their situation. I understand because Christmas is coming and everyone is busy. But if we can just inform and reach out to as many people as possible maybe we can make a difference.

Some kids didn’t make it for Christmas

My son would celebrate his seventh birthday seven months from now, but as early as now, my son is asking me what we will do on his birthday. I know he is excited for his seventh birthday, even us, his parents are excited. When it comes to birthday tradition, seventh birthday is really special, there should be parties and the whole family and friends are looking forward to it. Once again, this is the time of the year where the preparations are important, like the venue, the food, the birthday invitations, the program and games, souvenirs and some other stuffs. We got ideas on what to do already, but it will still depend on our budget.

Ladies Headbands is a fashion accessory for the hair. It can be worn on a long or short hair, straight or curly hair. It never goes out of style sometimes new styles and designs would come out of the market. There are different types of headbands in the market there are plastic, leather and fabric headbands to name a few. Putting designs and decorations can make it more sytlish too. It would be very easy to choose something that would match the outfit of the one wearing it.

I didn’t have work yesterday so I decided to do my work online. I still have to do a post about the best muscle building supplements and some post that should have been made last Friday. But when I tried loading the site I need to visit I can’t connect. I tried and tried but I failed so I decided to go to my mother’s place to do my work there. Their connection was good but the weird thing is that I can’t open my website. It always says that it is not available. When I tried opening my other website, some pictures, not just my pictures but other pictures too that was uploaded at imageshack can’t be seen too. This happened to my twice already but now that my internet connection is okay, everything is fine. My sites are loading properly and I can see any pictures at imageshack. I don’t know if there is something wrong with their browser setting, but I tried connecting using chrome and mozilla, but both didn’t work. It’s just weird.

Mostly at the office, dress code is being implemented. If the company doesn’t have an office uniform, they would just prescribe attire for each day. Usually, on Mondays, employees should wear formal office attire and from Tuesday to Thursday, they can wear smart casual attire. On Fridays, maong pants, apple bottoms, jeans, T-shirts, and other casual clothes are already allowed. This is one of the advantages of those who are working at home. They don’t have a dress code. When they wake up they can just go straight in front of the PC and start working. They can wear there pajamas, shorts, sandos or just about anything. So, which dress code do you prefer?

I rarely watch the news. I know some people would want to read or watch the news everyday to be updated with the current happening around the country or even around the world but I rarely watch the news. For the simple meaning that hearing the news would meaning that I will hear and watch lots of negativity around. All kinds of bad and negative news are being reported from bomb threats here, car accidents there, terrorism here, and motor accidents there. Young lady being killed by her own partner, families being massacred, fires here and there, stealing here and there, corruption and even something like electronic pickpocketing. We are just surrounded with bad news all over, and sometimes it affects the people who are watching it. So, instead of watching the news, I’d rather watch something that makes me laugh and happy. ^_^
