Google: Labor day

I opened google today to search about bauerfeind malleoloc ankle brace and this google doodle welcomed me. I reminded me of the celebration today, Labor day.

Labor day recognizes the efforts of the workers worldwide but labor day is being celebrated on different dates on different countries. Like in United States, Labor Day is observed on the first Monday of September.

Here in the Philippines, we celebrate Labor day today and it is considered holiday and usually there’s no work for the employees but still considered paid today. If a worker is required to go to work, he will have an additional 100% pay today if his pay is on a monthly basis, but if he is on a daily basis, his pay today would be 200%.

For example, if an employee receives 10,000 a month or 5,000 per cutoff and he is not required to go to work today, he will still received 5,000 on the payday. If he is required to go to work today, he will receive an additional 100% of his day salary. It still depends on what is the factor being used on the monthly salary.

If the worker is on a daily basis, and receives 400 pesos a day, if he is not required to go to work, he should received 400 pesos today, but if he is required to go to work he will received 800 pesos today. That’s why some workers would still want to go to work today as they will have additional earnings than stay at home and have additional expense.

Oh, I miss the payroll department.

Tips to make your New Year’s resolution successful

Are you one of the people who create a new year’s resolution? Is there any item on your list that was on your list last year? Don’t worry you are not alone, some studies shows that only 12% are able to achieve their new year’s resolution. Here are some tips that I learned last Sunday from Bro. Obet’s teaching at the Feast Valle Verde. This would be a 30-day challenge.

Select it! – Choose one area of your life that needs change or choose one New Year’s resolution that you want to be successful with. You can choose from these five areas:

  • Intellectual Quotient
  • Emotional Quotient
  • Physical Quotient
  • Wealth Quotient
  • Spiritual Quotient

For example, the most common item on a new year’s resolution is to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle, this belongs to physical quotient. Just choose only one, then after being successful in the challenge you can choose another.
Aim for 30 days if you want your goal to be successful, aim for 30 days. It would take 21 days to change your habit and a mental pathway in your brain. 21 days means you have passed the mark already and 30 days you are in the honor roll.
For example, you want to lose weight, so it means you need to exercise. A lot one hour a day in your exercise and do it for 30 days. What if you were able to exercise for 14 consecutive days, then on the 15th day you failed to exercise, then you have to start back at one.

Do it daily. Don’t just do it when you remember it or when you feel like doing it. You can never lose weight when you exercise once a week.

Schedule it. You need to set a time to do what you have to do. You can use your cellphone to remind you to do things. If you like doing your exercise in the morning, like 7am, schedule it. Do it 7am everyday.

Replace it. Change a bad habit to a good habit, something beneficial for you. If you like to eating fatty food, why not replace it with eating vegetables.

Study it. Learn more about the change you want. If you want to lose weight, read more about it, study calories intake, healthy foods, the right exercise, the burning of fats and just about anything related to loosing weight.

Support it. Tell your family and friends about the challenge that you are making to yourself. Ask them to help you, pray for you and remind you.

The example that I have given above is very common, but if you want to change something like you want to be closer to God, you want to improve your financial status, it is also applicable.

Lastly, identify your PURPOSE, the why in the success. If you have a very emotional and enormous reason on changing something about yourself or in being successful in at least one item on your new year’s resolution list then you would likely to be more successful.

This is just part one of the series OVERHAUL, change your life in 30 days. Next phase would be plan. If you want to hear the teaching, you can attend the Feast at Valle Verde, Pasig, 10am or 1pm. There would be a mass, worship and a teaching. See you there.

The Law of Tithing

Basically, tithing or tithes is associated with the Church. It is one tenth of your income and it is given to the Church voluntarily. Roman Catholics are encouraged to give something to the Church willingly and what comes from the heart but they are not strictly implementing the guidelines of tithing. But other religion or sects encourage their members to religiously and honestly give 10% of their income to the Church as their tithes.

Tithing is very important. It will help the church to do what he has to do like spreading the word of God. This money will help its missionaries to go to different places to let other people know how good the Lord is. Just take for example the Light of Jesus Community; they are aiming to spread the word of God by building 1000 Feasts around the world. Could this be possible without money?

What others don’t know is that Tithing is very important to the one who is giving it. God doesn’t need money. But He wants us to be prosperous and abundant. So giving something means we are ready to receive more.

Last week, I attended a seminar about money magnet by John Calub. He is not a preacher nor is affiliated in any Church. What he is teaching are principles and universal laws. Just like the Law of Tithing. This is a universal law and John is teaching that everyone should give 10% (at least) of their Gross income to the Church they belong to. In this way they can attract more money. The more you give the more you receive. Are you give one tenth of your income to your Church?

Seminar on Money Magnet

The other day my Mom sent me a message regarding attending a seminar. It is not about how to learn more about hgh but it is about money magnet. I have heard about the term many times already and I am curious to know its meaning and how to magnet money to come into our lives. I know this is one of God’s manners of teaching me on how to be abundant and prosperous. This is also a way to meet new people and friends. This is a whole day seminar that would be happening today. I hope I can learn more so I can share it with you.
