GT: I love RED

I am back as a Girl Talker. This month I hope to join every week this month.

Of course, I can not miss this week’s topic which is RED.

I have several things in red including my other site which is red in layout. This site’s layout is also in RED.

My online name includes red. So, do I need to say more? hehehe.

Anyway, I got inspired with K’s RED Piggy Bank. I have one too! I used to have a RED bear bank but after we opened it we also changed it to this piggy bank with a Red curtain in the background.

I also have a collection of stuffed toys with different colors. Here’s my favorite, given by my husband:

And here’s other stuffs in red -  bag, small jewelry box and wallet which I have to dig in my baul. heheh. Which reminds me I will clean it and use it again.

GT: Spirituality

I was born and raised as Roman Catholic. I studied in parochial school in elementary and high school. I even remember that in my elementary days, the number one item in our diary is “Visit the Blessed Sacrament daily.” We do it, not even knowing why we do it. As I grow up, I became more open to religion and spirituality. I am still a Roman Catholic but I respect other people beliefs and religion. I don’t try to convince them on nor criticize them. Some times I would even admire their way of thinking and spiritually. Whatever religion we have if we don’t have faith in God and follow his will it’s useless. I see a lot of people who think they are so religious and yet they would judge other people as if they are most holy. I hated that. Nobody is perfect.

Having a personal relationship with God is more important. I pray, but not every day. As much as possible, I try to attend mass every Sunday. It is the only time I can give Him. I currently attend mass at Valle Verde with The Light of Jesus community headed by Bo Sanchez. His stories and sharing inspire me a lot. We all have free will on what to believe, God gave that to us.

GT: I love me, mentally

It’s Friday and I am late for Girl Talk meme. I was out for the whole day yesterday and when we got home there was no net connection. Oh, anyway, I am always late in almost all memes. :)

This week’s topic is about loving oneself mentally. I am not that intelligent but I am not totally dumb at all. I am not a consistent honor student from Elementary to High School but I manage to maintain high grades. My grades are often line of 9 and I seldom get line of 8 grades. I experience getting a grade of 79 in high school and would you believe that the subject was Filipino? Hehehehe. That was my first and only time I experience receiving that kind of grade. I managed to graduate High school with honors plus best in Physics and math. Yes! While most of the girls dread Math, I love math. For me it’s the most practical subject because we use it in our daily lives. Too bad, I was not able to get scholarship in college that’s why I was forced to stop studying. But when I was able to take a two year course, again, I graduated with honors again.

I am also good in directions and I can easily go to a place with proper instructions, maybe because I hate asking a stranger where a place is. I can easily remember things but lately I have problems remembering some names of some person, I blame it on my CS operation. I can think maturely but I can think like a child too. It’s fun being childlike, thinking of no worries and just enjoying the game.  I am a little hard headed because whenever I ask my friends for advice I would usually do exactly the opposite of their advice. It may be good or bad but I want to decide on my own not just because somebody tells me to do it. I do think a lot before deciding on things though I have lots of wrong decision but I learn from them. I became stronger because of them because for me, experience is the best teacher in this game called life.

GT: I love me Financially

When my mom and her family (my stepfather and half-brothers) moved to Pangasinan to live a simpler life, I was left here in Manila because I was still studying at that time. I have to work as a service crew to be able to support myself. During my second year in college I have to stop studying due to financial problems. I was 18 years old that time, from then on I have been working and I was able to finish a two year course with a very little help from my mom. So, I can say I am financially independent from my family.

When I got married I continued to work to be able to help my husband with our needs and wants. I have a full time job while I also earn a little extra money from my online gigs. My mother-in-law has been taking care of our son when we are at work and in return we give her monthly allowance. But at this point lot of things will change. Last June 30 was the last day of the operations of the company I work for and technically starting today I will be a stay at home mom. I don’t have plans yet to apply for another job because I want to stay at home and take care of my son personally. I have plans on looking for a job online through odesk (I just hope I will be successful :) ) and continue with my online gigs to be able to help me have enough money on my paypal to still help my husband with our financial needs. I hope I can find job as early as possible so that we can still make ends meet and will make me feel as if I am still working in an office.

GT: Friends at Work

I have been working since I was 17 years old.  Yes, that time and I enjoyed working and meeting new friends.  I have never stopped working since that age, well, maybe except for about two weeks to one month when my contract would end and another time when I took a leave for almost two months because I gave birth. Working would be fun if you have close friends that’s why I really enjoyed my first job as a service crew at Jollibee because I met my best friends there.  The picture below was taken last February when we had our gimik after long, long years. The girl wearing blue is Jack, the girl beside me is Ana, and they are my best friends. Oh, I am the one wearing strips blouse.  Jim and Rean, the inseparable couple, the guy in between my best friends is Ron and the guy beside me is Jeff. Actually, there are a lot of people who wasn’t able to come for this reunion.

Right now, I am working in a not so popular call center, the picture below are my office mates.  The girl beside me is Janice, she is now in another company, next is Ms. Lanie, our accounting head, and still here with me, and last is Mai, a young stay at home mom to two beautiful daughters right now. I am a godmother to her youngest daughter, Chloe.

GT: Last Time I Pig-Out

I think the last time I pig-out was last night. :D

Oh no, I don’t have any pictures of the food last night, so I will just consider last night as a normal dinner. heheh :D

So, the last time I pig-out was last Saturday, April 24 with my husband and son. We ate at Chowking at Shaw branch near the Philhealth building. Hehehe.  Why did I consider eating at Chowking a pig-out, let’s read and see what’s on the table:

We ordered for:

1 veggie soup

1 value king crispy noodles with Ice tea

1 value king chorizo chao fan with ice tea

1 grad treat A. (composed of 3 Fun size halo halo with one scoop of ice cream, 3 rice, 1 salo lumpiang shanghai, 1 salo sweet and sour pork and 3 softdrinks)

Just by typing that I am getting hungry, lunch time is just few minutes away. hehehe. All those food for us three only, me, my husband and my 5 years old son.

Let’s serve the food, but I didn’t take a picture of the drinks. :D

GT: Favorite Junk Food

It’s Thursday again, so it’s time for Girl Talk. Today’s topic is Junk Food.

It’s hard deciding what is my most favorite junk food, because I enjoy eating a lot of junk foods. :D tsk..tsk… bad for the health.

My all time favorite junk food is French fries from KFC, Mcdonalds and other fast food restaurant. I also like criss cut fries and twister fries which are just seasonal in some fast food restaurants:

I also enjoy eating some other junk foods found in the supermarket. I like Oishii’s products like Potato ridges, Potato Chips. I love the cheese flavor. And these three are from different company but I love them also.

Ever since I had a son, I have to lessen my intake of junk foods. I want to be a good example to him. LOL.

GT: Comfort Food

Here’s my comfort food:

Beef noodles with egg. I tried looking for pictures in the net for this and thanks to dummyatcooking.wordpress.com this is the best that I got.

I love eating this when I was in Elementary. This serve as my breakfast when I am in a hurry. This is also a fast food for me whenever I am hungry.

When it comes to dessert,I can’t say no to this one. Just posting the picture here makes me crave for it. When I get depressed these two will be the best to cheer me up.

Just as I posted last week on GT, we will have no celebration for V-day. My hubby went to work as usual, while me and my son spend time playing plants vs zombie and some nintendo games. In the afternoon, we went to Church and at night, we brought JJ to my Mother-in-law’s place.

But, before the V-day, we already have a date, happened Wednesday and Thursday night, here are some pictures.

At Metro concert bar last Wednesday night

We watch Sitti and Juris Mini Concert

On thursday night, my hubby surprised me by fetching our son earlier than usual, we ate at MannHann / Mannang for our dinner

GT: Valentine Date 2010

I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. Maybe because I am already broke from my birthday and my mom’s birthday ^_^. Sometimes,  I’ll receive a card or a little gift from my hubby, but I don’t really celebrate it extra special. As what my officemate said yesterday, everyday should be a Valentine’s day. This Valentine is just like an ordinary day, My hubby will go to work(as usual), me and my son will be at home, playing the Playstation, doing some household chores, and going to attend mass. At the end of the day, we will bring my son to my mother-in-law’s place.

But I guess, the whole week is just filled with surprises and dates. Though, I still feel some heartaches, my husband still prepared something for me. On our anniversary (last Monday), he texted me, “bukas ka na lang magalit sa akin, uwi ka ng maaga.” hehe. It made me smile. When I got home, he prepared a nice dinner and three white roses. I forgot to take picture. hahaha.

We went out again on Wednesday and Thursday night, good thing, I have my camera with me. heheh. Ok.. Ok.. other date details will be revealed next Thursday, but I think, I need to prepare it now so I won’t be late again next week. haha.
