It’s Friday once again and it’s time r Mommy Moments. This week’s theme is Preggy tales. So here it goes.

I found out I was pregnant only on my third month of pregnancy. I didn’t have my period on the first month but on the second month I had my period so I didn’t expect that I was pregnant. On the third month, I didn’t have my period again so I decided to have a pregnancy test and it was positive. I went to the nearest clinic to have a check up and they told me I was one month pregnant. I was not really convinced because the basis was just my stories. After two months, I went to another clinic to have a pre-natal check up. The OB Gyne was really nice and has assisted me very well. I was expecting that the baby would be three months old only based on my first check up but during the first ultrasound the OB Gyne found out that I am already on my fifth month. She was telling me that I shouldn’t be wearing jeans! I didn’t know, my tummy was still small and I didn’t know that I am already on the fifth month. The gender of my baby can be seen at that time already and it is a boy.

Fast forward, January 2005, already on the eight month and check ups would be every week. Two weeks before I gave birth the doctor told me that I was 2cm dilated but she just sent me home telling me that there’s no need to go to the hospital if I don’t feel pain. So we did, I even went to work the next day to file my leave. Week passed and I don’t feel anything. I even remember going to Pasig(I live in QC that time) and going to the mall alone. The scheduled check up was cancelled, so after another week again I saw my doctor. And after the usual rounds she told me that she would just perform a quick ultrasound and she found out that the baby is in breech presentation. She has to perform a CS Delivery that night or the next morning. And so she did, February 5, 2005 I gave birth to a big baby boy.

After three days we were at SM North already. LOL. Here’s a picture of my son when he was three days old. Sorry for the quality,  I just used my old phone in taking this photo and have it printed out and scanned.

I already shared something about my son on his blog at The Adventurous Little Prince. I hope you can visit it too. This time I am going to share some pictures that was taken by my brother Christian through his cell phone and he just changed the settings into black and white. The photo below is a picture with him when we went to his school in Jala Jala, Rizal. He is staying there and we get to see him on weekends only, some times just once a month or sometimes we would visit him.

This  picture below was when we were in Valle Verde, when we attended a Christmas celebration of The Feast. It was eating time, so we decided to take some pictures first.

Plain and simple. This is the hairstyle of my son errr is it really hairstyle? Hahaha because his all time hairstyle is KALBO or skin head, that’s why when he was younger we call him JJ kalbo.

I want to join this week’s Mommy Moments because my son loves jumping, it may be jumping in one place or jumping from a higher place going down. But when I was looking on my pictures here I realized that there were no pictures of him on an actual jump. So, I just got this one, an attempt to jump into the swimming pool.

I did find a jump shot but it was not my son. These are my brothers playing around at my elder brother’s house while another brother was taking picture of them

My son is not the first grandchild of my mother. My older brother has a daughter already but we don’t see her often as she is with her mother. Anyway, my son looks like the youngest son in the family, just take a look at the picture below which was taken on the graduation of my youngest brother.

My brother next to me also graduated last March but I wasn’t able to attend it, so my son represented me on the special occasion. My son calls my mother “Mamu” while he calls my stepfather as “lolo daddy.”

I am happy that my son is able to see and feel the love of his grandparents on both sides because as for me, I wasn’t able to grow up knowing my grandparents. I was able to know the mother of my mother only when I was in elementary already.

We don’t watch movies in the theater or cinema very often because I think its quite expensive nowadays. But if we have extra money or we were able to get something for free we would definitely go to the the cinema. Just like the last time we watched movie, my husband was able to win Php 1000.00 in the raffle held in their union meeting. It was really a blessing and he immediately called us to prepare because we will watch movie.

No, we didn’t watch Shrek. If I remember it right, we watched Iron Man II that time. Though we did enjoy the movie but there were scenes that made my son bored but still he stayed quiet and behaved.

These are my Jerome James‘ current books at school. He opens it daily because of assignments but we also read the language and reading books even if there is no assignment.

He still can not read words right now but he has a lot of books like coloring books, activity books, drawing books and story books. One of his favorites is Kung fu Panda. Though he already watched the movie version of Kung fu Panda, he likes looking at the pictures and asking me to read it for him. Some times he would just tell the story while looking at the pictures.

This week’s theme for Mommy Moments is Lights…Camera….Pose. This will be our favorite pictures of the kids. Lately, my son, Jerome James loves to pose in front of the camera. He also likes taking picture of himself though at this moment it is not so good because it is so close to his face. Anyway, he likes posing and would often say “pangyabang.”
